The Name
An homage to the neighborhood black bear who kept climbing into the shop’s dumpster to gobble up test batches. The Co.’s customers now line up for that signature, naturally leavened sourdough with a similar fervor.
The Special Sauce
A balance of traditional, French-inspired style and effervescent American attitude—elegantly and effortlessly communicated through a blending of typefaces, etching-inspired iconography, and crisp, clean black-and-white. IWDFF worked hand-in-hand with Chef Phil McDonald and Restauranteur Dave Rauschkolb to create everything from a collection of versatile logos and graphic elements to their boldly branded (highly Instagram-able) interiors.
